Island Medical Program

Dr. Chris Morrow

Dr. Chris Morrow

Physician Education Director, Island Medical Program

Dr. Morrow oversees physician education across Vancouver Island including Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Faculty Development (FD) for local physicians and teaching faculty. He is also the IMP Portfolio Program Site Lead.

Dr. Morrow is a Clinical Teacher in Emergency Medicine, a full-time attending Emergency Physician at both the Victoria General and Royal Jubilee Hospitals and a Trauma Team Leader and on-call trauma team clinician at a tertiary care level II trauma centre since 2006.

Dr. Morrow is currently the Business Lead (Chair) for the Victoria Emergency Physician Associates. He has also served as the Division Head for the Department of Emergency Medicine VIHA South Island (2015-2018), and as the Clinical Lead (Site Chief) for the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Royal Jubilee Hospital (2012-2018).

Northern Medical Program

Dr. Julia Wimmers-Klick

Dr. Julia Wimmers-Klick

Regional Co-Director, Northern Medical Program

Dr. Julia Wimmers-Klick, born in Austria and raised in Germany, completed her medical studies at the University Innsbruck, Austria and acquired her Doctor Medicinae Universae in 1995. She continued her training as a Head and Neck surgeon and ENT physician, and practiced in Otorhinolaryngology (adult & pediatric) at the University Hospital in Innsbruck for over a decade. In 2015, she joined the academic faculty in the Northern Medical Program, focusing on teaching Year 1, 2 medical students across the curriculum combined with her research emphasis on inter-professional health care pedagogy. In her role as the regional Director of Faculty Development, she is responsible for the team building, planning and implementation of faculty development within the NMP and will work closely with physicians across Northern BC as well as with the NMP’s site faculty and administration to build and support the program’s faculty development network and activities across the North.

Dr. Lauren Feldhoff

Dr. Lauren Feldhoff

Regional Co-Director, Northern Medical Program

Dr. Lauren Feldhoff is an NMP grad that returned to Prince George with her husband at the end of 2019. Her medical training includes a rural Family Medicine residency in Newfoundland /Labrador followed by an additional residency year in Emergency Medicine. Following this, she completed a diploma in Practical Dermatology and plan to focus her clinical career on this in the near future. Currently, she is also working on a Physician Onboarding project for Northern Health and hope to focus her faculty development role around recruiting and retaining teaching staff.

She looks forward to working alongside Drs. Wimmers-Klick and Larson and is excited to see what their team will accomplish in this Faculty Development role.

Southern Medical Program

Dr. Cara Wall

Dr. Cara Wall

Regional Faculty Development Director, Southern Medical Program

Dr. Cara Wall is a hospitalist based at Kelowna General Hospital and Clinical Instructor with the UBC Department of Family Practice.

Dr. Wall completed her medical degree and residency training at the University of Saskatchewan. Since the early beginnings of the SMP, Dr. Wall has served as a preceptor for clinical skills, case-based learning, and clerkship rotations at KGH. In addition, she has led academic half-days and taught family practice residents in core hospital medicine rotations and diabetes clinic electives.

Vancouver-Fraser Medical Program

Dr. Linlea Armstrong

Dr. Linlea Armstrong

Regional Faculty Development Director, Vancouver Fraser Medical Program

Dr. Linlea Armstrong is a Clinical Geneticist who dedicates part of her time to the MD Undergraduate Program. As a Clinical Geneticist, she sees patients for genetic concerns such as hereditary cancer, congenital malformations, and intellectual disability at BC Women’s and Children’s Hospitals. Within the MDUP, she is Faculty Development Director, Vancouver-Fraser Medical Program.

Department of Family Practice

Dr. Blair Stanley

Dr. Blair Stanley

Co-Director Faculty Development, Post-graduate Family Practice

Dr. Stanley is sharing Faculty Development for Family Practice preceptors with Dr. Anmol Lamba. He is happy to part of Team FABB which stands for Faculty Development – Anmol – Bill (Bill Upward) – Blair – Bridget (Bridget Begin).

Dr. Stanley is a graduate of UBC Medicine. He is a Clinical Associate Professor. He has been teaching mostly in a rural context for 28 years. His interests include team based care and supporting residents in trouble.

Dr. Stanley is the Associate Director of the Rural Education Action Plan (REAP), a CORE Committee member for the Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc), and he also serves as the Faculty Development Lead for the Okanagan Rural and Regional Family Practice Residency Program. He practices family medicine in Vernon at Kalamalka Medical Practice and the Okanagan Indian Band Clinic.
